🤍 About Randoons
Randoons is more than a boutique—it’s a lifelong dream, a creative sanctuary, and a reflection of owner Randi Lamb’s heart.
Randi began her journey in 1995, hand-painting clothing and furniture while working full time and selling her creations at weekend art fairs. With a passion for fashion, artistry, and visual merchandising, she dreamed of one day creating a space of her own—one filled with creativity, inspiration, and unique finds.
That dream became reality in May of 1999 when Randoons first opened as a tiny boutique inside a local salon. As the business grew, so did Randi’s vision, eventually leading her to the charming historic storefront Randoons has called home since 2001.
For over 27 years, Randi has personally curated every detail of the shop—from clothing and accessories to gifts, illustrated artwork, and thoughtfully designed displays. Her goal has always been about more than simply selling fashion. She strives to create an environment where people can feel inspired, discover something special, and enjoy an experience that brings comfort, creativity, and joy.
Randoons has also been a source of strength through life’s greatest challenges. After losing her husband in 2020 following his seven-year battle with cancer, the shop became even more meaningful—a place of healing, purpose, and creative expression.
What began as a dream became a lifeline: a space that carried Randi through heartbreak while continuing to bring beauty and inspiration to others.
While success is often measured financially, Randi believes true success is waking up every day and loving what you do. For her, Randoons represents that success—a life built around passion, creativity, and meaningful connection.
Today, Randoons continues to offer carefully chosen fashion, gifts, baby items, and artistic treasures, often sourced from smaller businesses and independent artists, with a strong commitment to supporting American-made products whenever possible.
Family has always been at the heart of Randoons. In 2016, Randi’s daughter Ryelan began creating her own impact through the shop, bringing her creativity and compassion into the family business. Together, they’ve built not only a store, but a platform for causes deeply important to them.
Randi and Ryelan are passionate advocates for animal shelters, rescues, and adoption awareness. Their love for animals goes far beyond words—it’s woven into the mission of the business itself. Through multiple fundraising events throughout the year, percentage-of-sales donations, community outreach, and awareness campaigns, Randoons actively supports shelters and rescue organizations in meaningful ways.
From Ryelan’s childhood “Lemonade for a Cause” stands outside the shop, which raised money for the Evanston Animal Shelter, to her selfless 10th birthday request asking for donations instead of gifts for FarmHouse Fresh Animal Sanctuary, giving back has always been a core family value. Combined with Randoons’ anniversary fundraising efforts—including donating 10% of sales during their May anniversary celebration—these efforts raised $900, helping save three animals and earning recognition for Ryelan’s compassionate mission.
For Randi, supporting rescues and promoting adoption isn’t just a cause—it’s a responsibility and a reflection of the values she hopes to share with her customers and community.
At its heart, Randoons is about more than shopping. It’s about creating a place where people feel something—welcomed, inspired, comforted, and connected—and where business can be used as a force for creativity, compassion, and positive change.
"I truly love what I do, and I hope that passion shines through in every part of the shop. I’m so grateful for everyone who has supported this dream, our mission, and the causes we care so deeply about."
