Our Story
Owner Randi Lamb started hand painting clothing and furniture in 1995. Randi worked full time and sold her own creations at art fairs on weekends. Soon her passion for fashion and visual merchandising made her long for a shop she could call her own. Randi achieved this dream in May of 1999 when she opened Randoons: a tiny boutique inside a salon.
The space was small, and it didn't take long for her to realize she would need room to grow. She expanded inside the salon, but after 2 years Randi felt it was time to find a new space.
A wonderful storefront opened up just down the street. A quaint old building with brick walls and an antique tin ceiling. It was perfect! Randoons moved to its new home in October of 2001.
In 2016 Randi's daughter Ryelan followed in her mom's footsteps by taking over a corner of the shop. Ryelan's Frocks & Frills was created. A little section of clothing and gifts for girls, all picked out by Ryelan herself. Now that Ryelan is older, she attends buying shows in Atlanta with her mother and helps pick out things for the shop.
Randi's goal is to provide a unique and fun shopping environment, a place to get inspired, buy that special gift, or just get something you can't resist.
From that great pair of jeans that makes you feel so good to the sweetest baby gift everyone will awe over. Because she deals mainly with smaller companies and artists you will be sure to find something you don't see everywhere. Randi makes an effort to be socially conscious by carrying at least 50% to 60% of merchandise made in the U.S.A. She feels it is very important to support these businesses and their employees.
Randi is very passionate about animal shelters and rescues. She holds fundraisers for different charities such as Cystic Fibrosis, Henry's Heroes, Evanston Animal Shelter, and other animal rescues.
"I really love my work, and I hope it shows in the look and feel of the shop. I appreciate everyone who supports me and would like to thank all who shop here."
Enjoy! Randi
